News from Phoenix:
Finally they were able to dig in the ground and perform their test. What came out?
- pH value of 8 to 9 (Asparagus might like it)
- mineral nutrients: magnesium, sodium, chlorine or potassium. This means that the probe shows similarities to soil found in Antarctica!
- soil reacted with water somewhere in the past.
The problem is that the probe comes just from the surface, so it's not sure how representative the results are. Maybe the composition becomes completely different if you just dig some centimeters deeper. Well, maybe for the next mission they can bring a big digger up there...
News from Airbus:
They revealed the first carbon fibre plane! Seems to be a big step forward, but of course - as always - with a new step there come new problems...
News from American politics:
Obama and Hillary now call each other friends. Sweet. Hopefully now they can pull together in one direction.
Oddity from Sigg:
Most of you Swiss readers might know about Sigg. It's a rather well known company which recycles lots of stuff and produces? Sigg bottles! Now guess what. If you are a green American and you want to take care of the nature, of course you also want to buy a Sigg bottle. Makes sense. It's good for the nature. But guess what they recycle? Swiss aluminium. So that means if you're buying a Sigg bottle here in America you're actually doing something for the nature of Switzerland! That's great! But at the same time it also raises some questions... why not push American recycling? Tsss... Take a look at their American homepage.
And last but not least - news from Wall-E:
Of course I've already watched the movie. And you know what? It's great! (^_^) Pixar rocks!!! But I won't tell you more, don't want to spoil the Wall-E experience for you.
So chop-chop, have a nice day and enjoy sunshine, rain or snow (^_^)
