It's finally done. Freedom! Or so you think...
Obviously you want to make sure that all your work is safe. Double safe, triple even. Just to make absolutely sure that nothing gets lost. And that was my task for yesterday and today. I'm sitting in front of the laptop (where I finally managed to assembled all my code in one big heap. That's a story of its own and will be told at another time - it really is a Never-ending story) and I'm burning stuff on CDs and storing it in a - more or less - reasonable manner on my HD. My hard disk (HD), my precious. Nearly unlimited storage space. Room for all those files that just don't fit anymore on the CDs and which are not so important.... and so I store and store and store and listen to the soft humming of the CD/DVD thingy while it burns the files...
other than that it's nice to be finally "finished" with work (of course you're never really finished). More time for errands (which have piled up high after weeks of neglect - so I've spent Monday morning running around doing things...), much more time for nice talks with friends, I can finally get back to my routine of taking pictures and blogging them and reading a little bit more... it's not so bad after all (^_^). No, it's really good.

Actually it's wonderful! Enjoy that!
(^_^)
Hey! I just noticed the link you've used in your comment! (In the morning I just read your comment in my mailbox and didn't see the link! I'm so absent-minded! Sorry...)
Well... That's a great comic and a great "spot hitting" as you also said! Especially for engineering schools where females are less than any other PhD programs. But although you're also a visitor and you're Mariko(!), note that:
1) That comic doesn't work for Mahta's group where girls are the majority! (^_-)
2) Be careful in joking with Prof. Smith and his student (i.e. the guy w/ glasses)! Because they somehow (if you look at those comics I've used in my blog about myself), resemble me and my adviser most of the times! (esp. for tonight's comic!)... haha... Just kidding... (^_^)
Oh goodness! I completely forgot to burn it all onto a CD!!! Um. Aw well. ;-)
What are you planning once you're completely finished?
xx
Liebe Mariko
